2014 CES Innovation Awards
Recognized for its powerful LiFePO4 battery, high-efficiency monocrystalline cells, and sun-tracking technology, the SunSocket Solar Generator was honored at the 2014 CES Innovation Awards. The advances in portable power were what most caught the judges’ eyes. All of that power, and it still folds up into a briefcase weighing just over 25 lbs. See what the international buzz is all about.
The SunSocket is the first and only portable solar generator equipped with sun-tracking technology. Unpack the device, power it on, and the panels will follow the sun’s path across the sky. The high-efficiency Monocrystalline 60 Watt photovoltaic panels automatically position themselves to ensure maximum exposure throughout the day. Don’t be tied down by solar panels that need to be repositioned throughout the day. Get the most power with the least amount of work. Enjoy your freedom.
Dual Function Generator
Generate power with photovoltaic cells and store them in the LiFePO4 battery, without ever buying any attachments. The generator self-charges the internal battery in only five hours of exposure to the sun. Even without clear sunlight, most laptops run for over four hours off the SunSocket. A sunny day will power the same device as long as it’s light out, or 25 straight hours of Alaskan summer.
Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are advanced technology that is lighter, safer, and longer-lasting than other consumer rechargeables. Compared to common lead-acid batteries found in generators, the LiFePO4 will last twice as long (10 years vs. 3-5, 1000 power cycles vs. 500) and is three times as light. The phosphate cathode used in the chemical reaction prevents thermal run-off and overheating. A LiFePO4 battery is as safe as it is powerful.
Smaller than 3 sq. ft. and just over 4 in. thick, the SunSocket solar generator is the most portable solar generator in the world. It’s built into a briefcase to make for easy transportation. This sleek design fits into most places, including overhead compartments. Go anywhere; everywhere there’s light is your power outlet.
